From our office in Amsterdam, our team of 45+ enthusiastic heroes and two office dogs create an outstanding platform to help webshops and online marketing agencies improve the performance of their product ads on Google.

About the role

As the Technical Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our Tech team with the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will be leading a team of five to six team members and supporting them with the ongoing development of our new platform and existing tools. You’ll do this by taking charge of our technical vision and by ensuring a collaborative and safe work environment. This position is perfect for someone who is not only technically proficient, but who is also committed to leading with empathy and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Help define and drive the technical strategy and roadmap; oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
• Serve as a bridge between the engineering team and other stakeholders, ensuring that technical considerations are clearly communicated and understood.
• Lead architecture design in the platform monolith, code reviews, and technical decision-making processes to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
• Build and evaluate the team through regular development conversations to foster growth and achieve career development goals. You encourage the team to explore new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
• Promote a culture of open communication and transparency within the team and across departments.

About you

• You have knowledge of and experience with PHP, Laravel, PhpUnit/Pest, SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), JavaScript and Vue.js.
• Proven experience in a technical leadership role, preferably in a SaaS or startup environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and transparency.
• A passion for mentoring and developing team members, promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
• You are a fluent in English.
• Knowledge of Redis, Python, (Google) Cloud Services, Docker, Linux, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions) would be a plus.
• Experience with Scrum and project management tools.
